Product introduction

Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet is a combination of three medicines used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control the high blood sugar levels in diabetic patients. This reduces the chances of serious complications of diabetes and also helps prevent heart disease.

Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time every day, this will help you remember to take it. The dose will be decided by your doctor. Do not stop taking it without asking your doctor. If you do, your blood sugar levels may increase and put you at risk of serious complications like kidney damage and blindness. This medicine is only part of a treatment program that should include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor.

Common side effects of this medicine include hypoglycemia, nasopharyngitis, urinary tract infections, and gastrointestinal disturbances such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, diarrhea, and constipation. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects get worse or persist for a long time. Some people may develop fungal infections in the genital area. Maintaining good hygiene can help prevent this.

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or a urinary tract infection or if you are on water pills (diuretics). Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking it as this may increase the risk of developing some side effects. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking this medicine.

Uses of Cyblex D Tablet SR

Benefits of Cyblex D Tablet SR

In Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus

Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet is a medicine that helps to control high blood glucose (sugar) levels. It helps get rid of extra glucose from your body through urine. It also improves the body’s response to the hormone insulin, which is responsible for regulating blood glucose (sugar) levels in our body. The insulin helps to lower your blood glucose levels and prevents them from rising after taking meals.

Lowering blood glucose levels is an essential part of managing diabetes. Controlling blood glucose levels reduces the risk of complications such as kidney damage, eye damage, nerve problems, and loss of limbs. Taking this medicine regularly along with proper diet and exercise will help you live a normal, healthy life.

FAQs

What is Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet used for?

Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet is a dual-action oral medication for adults with type 2 diabetes, combining two effective blood sugar-lowering medicines: dapagliflozin and gliclazide. This combination works through complementary mechanisms - dapagliflozin promotes sugar elimination through urine, while gliclazide enhances the pancreas' insulin production and release. Together, they help cells better utilize and store glucose. Doctors typically prescribe Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet when either medicine alone proves insufficient for achieving optimal glycemic control.

Can Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet cause serious side effects?

Yes. Serious side effects of Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet include severe hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), dehydration, low blood pressure, ketoacidosis (a rare but serious condition - seek medical help if you feel nauseated, confused, or have trouble breathing), and liver or kidney function issues (especially in patients with pre-existing conditions).

Who should not take Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet?

Individuals should not take Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet if they have type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have severe kidney or liver problems, or are allergic to dapagliflozin, gliclazide, or sulfonylureas.

Should I avoid alcohol while taking Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet?

Yes, it is best to limit or avoid alcohol while on Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet treatment. Alcohol can increase the risk of hypoglycemia (with gliclazide) and dehydration or ketoacidosis (with dapagliflozin).

What lifestyle changes should I follow while taking Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet?

To get the best results, you should stick to a diabetic-friendly diet, exercise regularly, drink enough water to avoid dehydration (important with dapagliflozin), and monitor blood sugar regularly, especially if taking other diabetes medicines.

What signs mean I should stop taking Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet and call a doctor?

Stop taking Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet and seek immediate medical help if you notice confusion, sweating, or dizziness (hypoglycemia); unusual fatigue, vomiting, or trouble breathing (ketoacidosis); severe rash, itching, or swelling (allergic reaction); and yellowing of the skin or eyes (possible liver problem).

How do I know if Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet is working?

You may look for signs such as improved blood sugar readings, better HbA1c results, more stable energy levels, less thirst and urination, and better overall diabetes control. However, your doctor can best assess how well you are responding to Cyblex D 60 XR Tablet treatment and its effectiveness for your blood sugar control.
