Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a skin problem in which skin cells build up and form scales and dry patches which are itchy and painful. Applying Cutimo S Cream helps manage psoriasis symptoms like itching, pain, redness, swelling or irritation. It also moisturizes the skin and makes it soft and smooth. Clean and dry the affected area before applying Cutimo S Cream. Use it atleast 2-3 times a day or as prescribed. You may see change in your skin appearance after few weeks.

Eczema
Eczema is a condition in which patches of skin swells and becomes dry, itchy, rough and red. Cutimo S Cream moisturizes the skin and helps reduce dryness and itchiness. It also reduces swelling and redness at the affected area. Apply Cutimo S Cream 1-2 times a day or as prescribed by your doctor. You might see an improvement in your skin after 2 to 3 weeks of treatment.

How Cutimo S Cream works

Cutimo S Cream is a combination of two medicines: Mometasone and Salicylic Acid which treat eczema and psoriasis. Mometasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Mometasone into the skin.

Cutimo S Cream is used to treat the redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort of various skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
Apply to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
After you have applied Cutimo S Cream, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area).
Use a mild moisturizer regularly to overcome skin dryness during the course of treatment.
Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2 weeks of treatment.

Who should not use Cutimo S Cream?

Individuals should not use Cutimo S Cream if they are allergic to mometasone, salicylic acid, or any ingredient present in it. It is also not to be used where there is an untreated bacterial, viral (e.g., cold sores, chickenpox), fungal, or parasitic skin infection, and in conditions such as perioral dermatitis, rosacea, acne vulgaris, post-vaccination skin reactions, skin atrophy, ulcers, wounds, or stretch marks.

Are there age limits to use Cutimo S Cream, and can children use it?

Cutimo S Cream is indicated for adults and adolescents 12 years and older. Safety and effectiveness in children under twelve have not been established, so it should not be used in younger children unless a specialist advises otherwise.

With prolonged or large-area use of Cutimo S Cream, the steroid present in this medicine can be absorbed and may cause adrenal (HPA-axis) suppression or other hormone effects. Also watch for severe allergic reaction, sudden worsening of the skin (a sign of hidden infection), or visual problems like blurred vision. These need medical attention.

Will Cutimo S Cream make a skin infection worse or hide an infection?

Yes, Cutimo S Cream can mask or worsen infections by suppressing local immune responses. If the skin becomes more infected or the rash changes in an unexpected way, you should stop the medicine and see a doctor, since an antibacterial or antifungal treatment may be needed.

Can Cutimo S Cream be used on the face, groin, or near the eyes?

No, Cutimo S Cream is not recommended for use on the face, groin, genitals, or other skin folds (intertriginous areas), and should not be used near the eyes, as it is very risky. Take care to avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes.

During Cutimo S Cream treatment, is there anything special to know if I am having phototherapy or sun treatment?
