Dactinomycin(500 mcg)

Uses

Cosmegen 500mcg injection is used in the treatment of testicular cancer, wilms' tumor (kidney cancer in young children), gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (abnormal growth of cells inside a woman's uterus) and ewing's sarcoma.

How it works

Cosmegen 500mcg injection belongs to a class of medicines known as anthracyclines. It is a cytotoxic, antineoplastic (anticancer) medicine that works by binding to DNA (gene) and stopping the RNA synthesis, thereby slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells in the body.
