Product introduction

Combose 0.5 Tablet should be taken just after meals. The dose will be decided by your doctor. Do not stop taking it without asking your doctor. If you do, your blood sugar levels may increase and put you at risk of serious complications like kidney damage and blindness. If you miss a dose, do not take the missed dose between two meals. Wait until your next meal and take it just after meals as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose. This medicine is only part of a treatment program that should include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor.

The most common side effects of this medicine include flatulence, diarrhea, stomach pain, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level), and skin rash. However, these are temporary and usually resolve on their own. Please consult your doctor if these do not resolve or persist for a longer duration. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking this medicine.

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or urinary tract infection or if you are on water pills (diuretics). Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking it as this may increase the risk of developing some side effects.

Benefits of Combose Tablet

Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Combose 0.5 Tablet is a medicine that helps to control high blood glucose (sugar) levels. It helps get rid of extra glucose from your body through urine. It helps to slow down the breaking down of food in our intestine to simple glucose (sugar), thereby decreasing the rise in blood glucose levels after meals. Lowering blood glucose levels is an essential part of managing diabetes. If you can control the level, you will reduce the risk of getting any of the serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, eye damage, nerve problems and loss of limbs.
Combose 0.5 Tablet will reduce the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease if you have type 2 diabetes and already have cardiovascular disease. Taking this medicine regularly along with proper diet and exercise will help you live a normal, healthy life. You should keep using it for as long as it is prescribed because it is protecting your future health.

How to use Combose Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Combose 0.5 Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.

How Combose Tablet works

Repaglinide and voglibose help control blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. Repaglinide increases the release of insulin after meals, helping the body manage rises in blood sugar. Voglibose slows down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates from food, which helps prevent sudden spikes in blood sugar after eating. Together, they support better post-meal blood sugar control.

Quick tips

  • Combose 0.5 Tablet is a combination medicine that can control blood sugar better than either medicine alone.
  • Exercise, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines along with Combose 0.5 Tablet.
  • Take it around 15 minutes before a main meal.
  • It can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay a meal. Check your blood sugar regularly.
  • Always carry some sugary food to manage hypoglycemia symptoms (cold sweats, pale skin, tremors, and anxiety).
