Cidnavir Injection is an antiviral medicine used to treat viral infections caused by cytomegalovirus (CMV) in adult patients having acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It helps prevent multiplication of viruses and reduces the risk of complications that can result from the infection.
Cidnavir Injection is generally given under the supervision of a doctor or a nurse. Do not self-administer this medicine at home. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the treatment. Get the injection for as long as the doctor prescribes it. Your doctor may also do blood tests before starting and during treatment with this medicine.
The most common side effects of this medicine include protein in your urine, nausea, vomiting, fever, weakness, headahce, and rash. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects persist or bother you. Your doctor may suggest ways to prevent or reduce the side effects.
Cidnavir Injection is contraindicated in patients with kidney disease. Tell your doctor if you have any other medical conditions.
