Side Effects of Centapres are Fatigue, Ankle swelling, Sleepiness, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Headache, Nausea, Dizziness, Palpitations, Edema (swelling), Abdominal pain.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Centapres 20 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Centapres 20 mg Tablet lowers your blood pressure and makes it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body.
Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes and heart attacks.
It may also be used to reduce the number and severity of angina attacks (chest pain caused by heart disease).
It can cause ankle or foot swelling. Raise your legs while you’re sitting down and talk to your doctor if it does not go away.
A sudden drop in your blood pressure may occur, especially when you first start taking Centapres 20 mg Tablet. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it.
Side effects like dizziness, headache, and flushing, and ankle or foot swelling can be experienced with its use. This may not be with everyone. Drink plenty of fluids and try cutting down on coffee, tea and alcohol.
Any of the side effects other than mentioned above if occur, do consult the treating physician.
If you miss a dose of Centapres 20 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
