Calcithel Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It is commonly prescribed when your diet alone cannot provide the necessary supplements your body needs. It fulfills the deficiency to prevent related diseases. It also ensures proper growth and functioning of the body.

Calcithel Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it in the dose and duration advised by the doctor. Take it regularly at the same time each day to get maximum benefits from it. Do not take it more than or longer than prescribed by the doctor, as that may cause harmful effects.

How to use Calcithel Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Calcithel Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Calcithel Tablet works

Calcithel Tablet is a combination of four medicines : Calcium citrate, Magnesium Hydroxide, Calcitriol, and Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate. Calcium citrate is a water-soluble calcium supplement. It increases the plasma calcium levels. Magnesium Hydroxide is an antacid that neutralizes the excessive acid in the stomach. Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate is a nutritional supplement that provides essential nutrients to our body and improves overall health. Vitamin D3 is a form of vitamin D. It raises vitamin D levels in your blood. This in turn raises calcium levels in your blood by helping you absorb more calcium from food.

Yes. Long‑term high Calcithel Tablet can lead to kidney stones or calcium deposits in the kidneys. People with kidney impairment have higher risks of hyperphosphatemia (an abnormally high level of phosphate in the blood), nephrolithiasis (kidney stones), and nephrocalcinosis (a condition where calcium deposits form in the kidney tissue, most often the renal medulla), and need medical supervision.

Can children take Calcithel Tablet?

Calcithel Tablet is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
