Give C.R.M Linctus Cherry to your child orally, either before or after food but prefer giving it at a fixed time. The doctor will prescribe the dose based upon the child’s body weight, age, and clinical condition. Usually, C.R.M Linctus Cherry is prescribed to be given up to 3 times a day. Do not continue the course for more than 4 to 5 days unless advised otherwise. Stick to the dose, time, and way as prescribed by the doctor.

If your child vomits within 30 minutes of the intake, help the child calm down and repeat the same dose. However, skip the dose if it is already the time for the next dose. Make sure not to double up the dose as overdose can cause side effects. Also, do not give C.R.M Linctus Cherry with any other cough or cold medicine as that may also lead to increased side effects.

C.R.M Linctus Cherry can cause some minor and temporary side effects such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, skin rash, excitation, or confusion. Usually, these episodes subside on their own. However, if worrisome, do seek medical assistance.

A dry cough, also termed a non-productive cough, is a reflex action of our body in an attempt to clear out air passage. There is usually no mucus production in such cases. It is commonly associated with allergic conditions such as the common cold and hay fever. C.R.M Linctus Cherry suppresses severe dry cough as well as allergic symptoms like runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes, congestion, and renders relief.

How C.R.M Linctus works

C.R.M Linctus Cherry is a combination of two medicines: Promethazine and Pholcodine, which together relieve dry cough. Promethazine is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which is responsible to trigger cough due to allergy. Pholcodine is a cough suppressant. It suppresses cough by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain.

C.R.M Linctus Cherry causes mild sedation as a side effect. Never give this medicine to your child to induce sleep in your child as it can harm.
C.R.M Linctus Cherry has addictive properties. Make sure to give the medicine as prescribed.
Do not share your child’s medicine with other children even if they have a similar illness.
C.R.M Linctus Cherry is not effective in treating any type of cough triggered due to underlying breathing illness such as asthma. Consult your child’s doctor before giving C.R.M Linctus Cherry to your child.

1. Ask your child to gargle with warm saline water.
2. Give honey and ginger to your child as it helps soothe an itchy throat.
