How to use C.R.M Linctus

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. C.R.M Linctus Cherry is to be taken with food.
However, this medicine can also be taken before food.

How C.R.M Linctus works

C.R.M Linctus Cherry is a combination of two medicines: Promethazine and Pholcodine, which relieves dry cough. Promethazine is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which is responsible to trigger cough due to allergy. Pholcodine is a cough suppressant. It suppresses cough by reducing the activity of cough center in the brain.

C.R.M Linctus Cherry may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

C.R.M Linctus Cherry may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
No information is available on the use of C.R.M Linctus Cherry during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Driving
C.R.M Linctus Cherry may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
C.R.M Linctus Cherry is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of C.R.M Linctus Cherry may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
However, caution is advised in patients with severe kidney disease as it may cause excessive sleepiness in them.
Liver
