Applying Betsalic Z Ointment helps manage psoriasis symptoms like itching, pain, redness, swelling or irritation. It moisturizes the skin and makes it soft and smooth. Betsalic Z Ointment also prevents any kind of infection at the affected area, especially if those areas are frequently touched or scratched. Clean and dry the affected area before applying Betsalic Z Ointment. Use it atleast 2-3 times a day or as prescribed. You may see change in your skin appearance after few weeks.

Eczema
Eczema is a condition in which patches of skin swells and becomes dry, itchy, rough and red. Betsalic Z Ointment moisturizes the skin and helps reduce dryness and itchiness. It reduces swelling and redness at the affected area. Betsalic Z Ointment also prevents any kind of infection at the affected area, especially if those areas are frequently touched or scratched. Apply 1-2 times a day or as prescribed by your doctor. You might see an improvement in your skin after 2 to 3 weeks of treatment.

How to use Betsalic Z Ointment

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.

How Betsalic Z Ointment works

Betsalic Z Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Betamethasone, Salicylic Acid and Zinc Oxide which treat eczema and psoriasis. Betamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Betamethasone into the skin. Zinc Oxide has astringent and antiseptic action.

Betsalic Z Ointment is used to treat the redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort associated with psoriasis and eczema.
It is advisable to apply it once a day. For best effect, leave it on during the day if you have applied it in the morning, or overnight if you have used it in the evening.
Apply to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
If you are using a moisturizer along with this preparation, apply the moisturizer first. Then wait 10-15 minutes before applying Betsalic Z Ointment.
After you have applied Betsalic Z Ointment, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area).
Do not apply it on your face unless your doctor has asked you to. If you have been told to use it on your face, be careful not to get any preparation near your eyes, and do not use it for longer periods of time than you have been advised.
Do not apply it on open wounds and cuts.
Your skin may become more sensitive to sunlight than normal while you are using Betsalic Z Ointment. Try to avoid sitting out in the sun and do not use sunbeds.
Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2 weeks of treatment.
