Medicine Overview of Beta-Nicardia Capsule
Ankle swelling, Headache, Tiredness, Palpitations, Cold extremities, Sleepiness, Nausea, Edema (swelling), Slow heart rate, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Constipation.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Beta-Nicardia 50mg/20mg Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
Take it either 1 hour before or 2 hours after food.
Beta-Nicardia 50mg/20mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Atenolol and nifedipine which lower blood pressure effectively. Atenolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate while nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels. Together, they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

Atenolol and alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Beta-Nicardia 50mg/20mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Beta-Nicardia 50mg/20mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended and can help in better dose adjustment.
