Bact-AC Ear Drop is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Hold the dropper close to the ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the ear. Wash your hands thoroughly before using the medicine. To avoid relapse, continue the use of this medicine even if symptoms begin to clear up.

It is generally safe and does not usually cause any side effects. However, some people may experience some ear irritation while using this medicine which usually subsides on its own. Consult your doctor if it persists for a longer duration. Some people have a severe allergic reaction which needs urgent medical attention. Signs of this include rash, swelling of the lips, throat, or face, swallowing or breathing problems, feeling dizzy or faint, and nausea.

Bact-AC Ear Drop is a combination of medicines used to treat ear infections caused by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. It works by killing and stopping the growth of infection causing microorganisms, thereby clearing the infection. It also blocks the release of chemicals that cause symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling and ear discharge. Therefore this medicine relieves the inflammation due to these infections.

You should use this medicine for as long as it is prescribed, even if your symptoms disappear, otherwise they may come back. Depending on the type of infection you are treating, this may be several weeks. Even after your infection is completely cured, you may have to use it occasionally to prevent the symptoms from returning.

How Bact-AC Ear Drop works

Bact-AC Ear Drop is a combination of five medicines that treat ear infection. Chloramphenicol and Gentamicin are antibiotics that stop the growth of bacteria. They do so by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. This does not directly kill the bacteria, but prevents them from increasing in numbers, and eventually clears up the infection. Beclometasone is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your infection. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain thereby decreasing pain sensation.

Bact-AC Ear Drop is used to ease pain, swelling associated with some ear infections.
Put drops in the ear without touching the dropper to the ear. Stay on the side for 2 minutes or put a cotton plug in the ear.
Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the drop in these areas.
Do not use the medicine for a longer time without doctor's consultation.
Make sure not to use the open bottle more than 4 weeks.
