Atorec EZ Tablet


Overview

Introduction

Atorec EZ Tablet is a medicine used to treat high cholesterol. It is a combination of two medicines that reduces "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides (fats) levels. It may also reduce risk of future heart attack and stroke. Lifestyle changes like low-fat diet, exercise, and not smoking may help this medicine to work better. This medicine should be taken with or without food at a fixed time. Stomach pain, muscle pain, and constipation are some other side effects associated with this medicine.

How to use Atorec EZ Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Atorec EZ Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Atorec EZ Tablet works

Atorec EZ Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Atorvastatin and ezetimibe. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL) while raising "good" cholesterol (HDL) levels. Ezetimibe is a cholesterol absorption inhibitor which prevents absorption of cholesterol from the intestines. Together, they provide better reduction of cholesterol in your body.

Alcohol
CAUTION
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Atorec EZ Tablet. Taking Atorvastatin with alcohol may increase the risk of liver damage.
Pregnancy
CAUTION
Atorec EZ Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the fetus. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Atorec EZ Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Atorec EZ Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Atorec EZ Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Atorec EZ Tablet is recommended.
Liver
CAUTION
Atorec EZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Atorec EZ Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Atorec EZ Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate to severe liver disease.

I am a type 2 diabetic patient with generic history Both my father & mother hv diabetis I am taking gluconorm pg1 & atorec ez since last three years But my glycolated hb levels hv gone up from 8.0 to 10.0 but blood sugar is 160 to 200 I am a construction engineer so travel a lot I can't keep strict control over my diet Please advice me remedy Thanks

Without diet control can't do anything. So get diabetic diet chart from your diabatologist and follow it. Take medicine regularly and stay regular follow up with doctor. Do exercise regularly.
My parents 4.30pm 2diabetic Both of them are under medication from last 6 years I was diagnosed diabetic in 2012 & taking gluconorm pg1 with atorec ez since last 2 years But want to replace my allopathic course with ayurveda therapy Want to know which medicines for me are available in ayurveda My fasting suger is 160 &, PP suger is 190 as i am under extensive travell cant keep check on my diet This level of suger is after regular diet please suggest me ayurveda medicines
