Uses of Arteross Tablet

Arteross Tablet is used in the treatment of malaria. It is not used to prevent malaria or to treat severe malaria (where it has affected the brain, lungs or kidneys).

How to use Arteross Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Arteross Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Arteross Tablet works

Arteross Tablet is an antiparasitic medication. It works by producing harmful chemicals (free radicals) within the malarial parasite, thereby killing it.

Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Arteross Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Arteross Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Arteross Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
There is limited information available on the use of Arteross Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
There is limited information available on the use of Arteross Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
