How to use Acejeev-T Tablet

How Acejeev-T Tablet works

Acejeev-T 100mg/4mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Aceclofenac and Thiocolchicoside, which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

Q. What is Acejeev-T?

Q. Is it safe to use Acejeev-T?
Yes, Acejeev-T is safe to use in most of the patients. However, in some patients it may cause some unwanted common side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhoea and other uncommon and rare side effect. Inform your doctor if you experience any persistent problem due to the medication.

Acejeev-T is usually used for short term and can be discontinued when the pain is relieved. However, Acejeev-T should be continued if the doctor is advised to do so.

The use of Acejeev-T is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to any of the component or excipients of this medicine or in patients with known allergy to other pain killers. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of or active, recurrent stomach ulcer/bleeding and in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Yes, Acejeev-T can be taken with vitamin B-complex preparations. Acejeev-T helps to relieve pain and vitamin B-complex can help to corrects the vitamin deficiency that might be causing your symptoms.
Q. Can the use of Acejeev-T cause damage to kidneys?
Yes, the long term use of Acejeev-T can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects the kidneys from damage. Use of pain-killers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long term use. Use of pain killers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.

No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective. Consuming higher than the recommended dose of Acejeev-T can lead to increased side effects. If the symptoms are getting severe, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.
