How to use Hifenac TH Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hifenac TH Tablet is to be taken with food.
This will help to avoid acidity and heartburn.

How Hifenac TH Tablet works

Hifenac TH Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Aceclofenac and Thiocolchicoside, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

Hifenac TH Tablet related warnings

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Hifenac TH Tablet. Taking aceclofenac with alcohol may increase risk of stomach bleeding.
Hifenac TH Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Hifenac TH Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Slight lower back pain persists since last 15 days. Checked with docter for consultancy and advised 3 days bed rest. Slight pain still erupts after 3 days. Taking medicative like Hifenac TH 4MG as advised. Another medicine axogaurd NT not available in the market or in 1MG. Asked to drink atleast 4lt of water daily. Taking warm water medicative for atleast an hr daily. Is it happening due to sitting posture or sleeping position?

Q. Is it safe to use Hifenac TH?

Yes, Hifenac TH is safe for most of the patients. However, in some patients it may cause some common unwanted side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhoea and other uncommon and rare side effects. Inform your doctor if you experience any persistent problem due to the medication.

Hifenac TH is usually used for short term and can be discontinued when the pain is relieved. However, Hifenac TH should be continued if your doctor has advised you to do so.

It should also be avoided in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Yes, Hifenac TH can be taken with Vitamin B-complex preparations. While Hifenac TH helps to relieve pain, Vitamin B-complex can help to correct the vitamin deficiency that might be causing your symptoms.

Q. Can the use of Hifenac TH cause damage to kidneys?

Yes, the long-term use of Hifenac TH can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body which leads to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.

No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective, rather it can lead to increased side effects. If the symptoms are getting severe, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.
