Ascoril LS Syrup

Ascoril LS Syrup can be taken with or without food. Take it in the dose and duration advised by the doctor. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early, your symptoms may come back. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking, as some may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.

The most common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, vomiting, muscle cramps, headache, skin rash, and increased heart rate. Most of these effects are usually temporary and often resolve with time. Contact your doctor if you are concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may also cause sleepiness, so do not drive or perform activities that require mental alertness until you know how this medicine affects you.

Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. Drink plenty of fluids while taking Ascoril LS Syrup. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can make sleepiness worse.

• Treatment of Cough with mucus : Ascoril LS Syrup helps loosen and clear mucus from the airways, relieving cough and chest congestion in conditions such as bronchitis, respiratory infections, or COPD.

The dose of Ascoril LS Syrup depends on your age, the severity of your cough and breathing symptoms, and your overall health. It is usually taken 2 or 3 times a day to help loosen mucus and make breathing easier. However, your doctor will decide the right dose and duration of treatment for you.

Take Ascoril LS Syrup exactly as advised and try to take it at evenly spaced times each day if multiple doses are prescribed. Do not take more than the recommended dose or use it for longer than advised. Continue using the medicine for the duration recommended by your doctor to help relieve your symptoms effectively. If your symptoms do not improve or worsen, consult your doctor.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Ascoril LS Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Overdose

Taking more than the recommended amount may cause rapid heartbeat, nervousness, headache, tremor, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, sleeplessness, skin irritation, eye irritation, respiratory tract irritation, gastrointestinal tract irritation, and low blood potassium levels.

If overdosage is suspected, seek medical help.

• Ascoril LS Syrup is used to relieve cough with mucus by thinning and clearing phlegm from the airways.
• Drink plenty of fluids while taking Ascoril LS Syrup, as this helps loosen mucus and improves its effect.
• Ascoril LS Syrup is not meant for dry cough (cough without mucus).
• Ascoril LS Syrup may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.
• Stop taking Ascoril LS Syrup and contact your doctor if you develop severe palpitations, chest discomfort, tremors, or a very fast heartbeat.
• Inform your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disorders, or diabetes before taking Ascoril LS Syrup.
• Do not take more than the recommended dose, as overdose may cause rapid heartbeat, nervousness, or tremors.
• Consult your doctor if your cough lasts more than a few days, worsens, or is accompanied by fever, breathlessness, or chest pain.
• Do not use Ascoril LS Syrup without medical advice in children, pregnant or breastfeeding women.
