DRUGS FOR TREATMENT OF LEPRA
This group contains medicines known as antibiotics, which are used for the treatment of leprosy (an infectious disease with disfiguring skin lesions and nerve damage). These medicines are used together in specific combinations as a part of multidrug therapy (MDT). They work by inhibiting the growth of the leprosy-causing bacteria. Some medicines of this group are used to treat leprosy-related (or lepra) reactions.
