Ferikind-M Tablet may be taken with or without food. It should be used in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. It is advised to take this medicine at a fixed time to avoid missing a dose.

How Ferikind-M Tablet works

Ferikind-M Tablet is a combination of vitamins and minerals. Ferrous Ascorbate consists of iron and vitamin C. Iron replenishes the iron stores in the body and corrects iron deficiency anemia. Vitamin C promotes the absorption of iron in the body. Folic acid is essential for production of red blood cells. It prevents and treats folate deficiency and anemia. When taken by pregnant women, Folic acid prevents miscarriage, preterm labor, and neural tube defects in infants. Methylcobalamin corrects vitamin B12 deficiency thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. Zinc is needed for the body's immune system to work properly. It plays a role in growth, wound healing, and maintaining gut health. Zinc is also needed for the senses of taste and smell.

Avoid taking antacids 2 hours before or after taking Ferikind-M Tablet as they make it harder for your body to absorb the medicine.
Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like antihypertensives, antibiotics, or medicines for heart disease or bone disorders.
Along with taking Ferikind-M Tablet, take a healthy diet, sleep for a minimum 6-7 hours at night, and reduce stress levels.
Iron supplements can make your stools look darker in color. This is completely harmless.
Ferikind-M Tablet can cause constipation, try to eat a well-balanced diet and drink several glasses of water every day.
