Fecontin-Z Tablet CR may be taken with or without food. However, take it in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor; do not take it in more than the recommended dose. It is also advised to take this medicine at a fixed time every day to avoid missing a dose.

How to use Fecontin Tablet CR

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Fecontin-Z Tablet CR may be taken with or without food.

How Fecontin Tablet CR works

Fecontin-Z Tablet CR contains three ingredients namely folic acid, iron, and zinc. Folic acid is essential for production of red blood cells. It prevents and treats folate deficiency and anemia. Iron replenishes the iron stores in the body and corrects iron deficiency anemia. Zinc is needed for the body's immune system to work properly. It plays a role in growth, wound healing, and maintaining gut health. Zinc is also needed for the senses of taste and smell.

Quick tips

Avoid taking antacids 2 hours before or after taking Fecontin-Z Tablet CR as they make it harder for your body to absorb the medicine.
Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like antihypertensives, antibiotics, or medicines for heart disease or bone disorders.
Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor.
Along with taking Fecontin-Z Tablet CR, take a healthy diet, sleep for a minimum 6-7 hours at night, and reduce stress levels.
