X - Ray Both Elbow Joints (Anteroposterior) AP View is used to visualise the bones of the elbow joint and the soft tissues (skin and muscles) surrounding it using a small amount of radiation.The area of the elbow includes the bones of the proximal forearm (radius and ulna), the distal humerus (bone of the upper arm) and the elbow joint.
This test is prescribed by the doctor to diagnose any fracture of the bones of the elbow joint and to monitor the healing of the broken bone, after it has been set.
