PulmoCORE Basic Panel

pulmoCORE Basic Panel is a set of tests that detects genetic changes (mutations) in five different oncogenes namely EGFR, BRAF, c-MET, ALK and ROS1. Any kind of genetic changes in these genes are most frequently found in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Identifying genetic abnormalities in these genes may predict response to targeted therapies. Therapy selection in patients with lung cancer is critical for achieving effective outcomes. The results of this panel ensure the doctors have the information they need to tailor targeted therapy to their patients. Also, this genetic information can also be useful in disease prognosis.
