The MRI Pelvis with Both Hip Joints is a noninvasive imaging test that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of the pelvic region, including both hip joints, surrounding bones, muscles, cartilage, and soft tissues. This scan does not use radiation and provides high-resolution images for accurate diagnosis.

Doctors may recommend this MRI if you have hip pain, joint stiffness, limited movement, injuries, or swelling. It helps detect conditions such as avascular necrosis (loss of blood supply to the bone), arthritis, labral tears, muscle or tendon injuries, infections, or tumors in the pelvic and hip areas.

The procedure is safe and painless, but you will need to lie still inside the MRI machine while the images are taken. In some cases, a contrast dye may be used for better clarity. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant, have metal implants, or kidney-related issues before undergoing the scan.
