Know more about this test

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a type of scan that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to capture detailed images of different parts of the body. MRI Lower Abdomen (Plain) is used to diagnose several conditions associated with abdomen such as to examine blood flow, blood vessels within abdomen, or lymph nodes. It is also used to monitor the efficacy of treatment of various abdominal problems. It is advised to inform doctor before the scan if you are having any type of metal implants such as artificial heart valves, stents, etc. As MRI is a radiation less test, it is considered to be a safer alternative to a CT scan.
