Understanding MRI Angio Left Lower Limb
What is MRI Angio Left Lower Limb?
MRI Angio Left Lower Limb is an imaging scan that uses a powerful radio waves with pulses and magnetic field to visualise the blood vessels (arteries and veins) supplying blood to the leg.
What is MRI Angio Left Lower Limb used for?
- To diagnose arterial occlusive disease (chronic muscular pain caused by cholesterol / fat deposition in the arterial wall of the leg)
- To detect embolism of the leg (blockage of the leg arteries due to excessive deposition of the cholesterol)
- To evaluate deep vein thrombosis (DVT) where blood clots in the deep veins of the leg
- To find out runoff disease (delayed portion of the vascular angiography to visualise small artery bed, to show small artery patency)
