geneCORE Predict Advance

The geneCORE Predict Advance test is a comprehensive genetic screening that analyzes 152 genes to identify inherited mutations linked to various cancers. It helps detect genetic predisposition to cancers such as breast, ovarian, colon, pancreatic, prostate, uterine, and melanoma, among others. This test supports early detection, personalized monitoring, and preventive health planning for individuals and families with a history of cancer.

Understanding geneCORE Predict Advance
The geneCORE Predict Advance test is an advanced genetic screening panel designed for individuals with a personal or family history of one or more cancers. It identifies inherited mutations in 152 genes associated with several major hereditary cancer syndromes, including Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC), Lynch Syndrome, Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, and others.
This test helps uncover genetic predispositions to cancers such as breast, ovarian, colon, rectal, pancreatic, stomach, esophageal, prostate, endometrial, uterine, and skin cancer (melanoma). By detecting these inherited risks early, doctors can recommend regular screenings, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures to lower cancer risk or detect it at an early, more treatable stage.
It is particularly useful when the exact type of cancer in the family is unknown, when multiple relatives are affected, or when cancers occur at younger ages (below 50–60 years). Genetic counseling before and after the test helps interpret the results and understand the next steps for both the individual and family members.
For this test, it is important to submit the clinical history, previous test reports, and a doctor’s prescription at the time of sample collection. The Tata 1mg consolidated Test Requisition Form (TRF) must also be duly filled and submitted.
Lab test results may vary across different laboratories. Abnormal test results require an expert interpretation. Therefore, never try to self-medicate at home based solely on these results, and always consult a doctor for proper understanding of the test results.
What does geneCORE Predict Advance measure?
The geneCORE Predict Advance test analyzes 152 genes that may carry mutations increasing cancer risk. It screens for genetic changes linked to hereditary cancer syndromes such as HBOC, Lynch Syndrome, Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, and others.
The test identifies whether a person carries harmful gene variants that can be passed on to family members. Detecting these mutations allows healthcare providers to develop personalized cancer prevention or early detection strategies, such as regular screenings, targeted therapies, or lifestyle changes.
