Flowcytometry: Absolute CD20 count

The Flowcytometry: Absolute CD20 count test is a flow cytometry-based examination that determines the total number of CD20-positive B lymphocytes circulating in the blood. CD20 is a protein expressed on the surface of mature B cells, which play a crucial role in immune defense. This test is particularly valuable for patients receiving anti-CD20 therapies (like rituximab) for conditions such as lymphomas, leukemias, or autoimmune diseases. It helps doctors monitor the effectiveness of treatment, track B-cell depletion and recovery, and evaluate immune competence. The test is also useful in assessing bone marrow or immune reconstitution after transplantation. The test requires a blood sample and is performed using advanced flow cytometry technique that quickly identifies and measures different types of blood cells to help diagnose and monitor immune and blood-related conditions.
Please note: This is an outsourced test. The sample is collected by TATA 1MG and processed at a NABL accredited partnered lab.
