The CT Scan Pelvis with 3D Reconstruction is an imaging procedure to create a detailed three-dimensional anatomical model of the pelvis and abdominal region. The 3D reconstructed pelvic CT scan is used to identify disorders in the bones as well as soft tissues and help diagnose medical conditions or plan treatment procedures.

This test is prescribed by the doctor to diagnose any fracture of the pelvis bones, to detect any infection, osteoporosis, deformities, and abnormal growth of the bones of the hip region. It is also helpful in the diagnosis of any suspected arthritis, sacroiliitis, hip dislocations and to detect injury to internal organs of the lower abdomen and pelvic region.

CT exams generally use a small amount of radiation and are therefore considered relatively safer as compared to X-rays.
