Color Doppler Abdomen

A color doppler ultrasound (abdomen) is the main diagnostic test for deep vein thrombosis. Deep vein thrombosis is characterized by a clot in a vein in the leg. Some symptoms are cramping pain, inflammation, and reddening in the leg. This test is also used to detect clots and blocks in your arteries and veins in your abdomen. It can be used to detect abdominal aortic aneurysm blood problems with your liver, spleen, pancreas, and kidneys. The images show where the blood slows down or stops, usually indicating a clot or obstruction. This test is preferred due to its non-invasive nature and minimal side effects. It is a safe and accurate test.
