CBCT Right TM joint

The CBCT Right TM joint, also known as Cone Beam Computed Tomography of the Right Temporomandibular Joint, is an advanced imaging procedure that uses X-rays to generate detailed three-dimensional cross-sectional images of the jaw joint and surrounding structures on the right side. This test is typically recommended when an individual experiences symptoms such as localized jaw pain, clicking or popping sounds, restricted mouth opening, facial asymmetry, or difficulty in chewing. It is particularly useful for diagnosing and evaluating conditions such as joint degeneration, arthritis, fractures, developmental abnormalities, tumors, infections, or internal derangements affecting the right TM joint. During the procedure, the CBCT scanner rotates around the patient’s head to capture a 3D image of the right TM joint without the need for contrast material. This allows for high-resolution visualization of bony structures, joint spaces, and alignment specific to the right side. By providing a more comprehensive view of the jaw anatomy, the CBCT scan helps doctors make precise diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans for conditions related to the right jaw bones, including orthodontic, prosthodontic, and surgical interventions.
