3D-CT Scan Chest

3D CT Chest-Plain is a diagnostic medical imaging test that captures clear images of the internal chest condition. It is used to detect lung disorders, tumors, congenital abnormalities, causes of coughs and chest pain, chest injuries, including ribs, heart valves, and major blood vessels. A beam of X-rays takes hundreds of 2D images at different angles and cross-sections that combine to form final detailed 3D images of the chest. The scan takes around 15 to 30 minutes.
Depending upon the problem detected in the scan, the doctor will discuss the treatment plan. The radiation may cause mild nausea or stomach upsets in some people. Apart from a plain gown, patients are not supposed to wear anything else during the scan. Women must inform about their possible pregnancy beforehand.
