परिचय

Valcito Tablet is used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection of the retina (retinitis) in adult patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). इसका इस्तेमाल सीएमवी संक्रमित डोनर से अंग प्रत्यारोपण प्राप्त रोगियों में सीएमवी संक्रमण की रोकथाम के लिए भी किया जाता है.

Valcito Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. बेहतर महसूस होने के बावजूद भी दवा की कोई खुराक ना छोड़ें और इलाज का कोर्स पूरा खत्म करें. इसे भोजन के साथ लिया जाना चाहिए. You should drink plenty of water while on treatment with this medicine, as it helps prevent dehydration and kidney damage.

Valcito Tablet may cause a few common side effects like diarrhea, vomiting, anemia, low white blood cells, low platelet levels, insomnia, and vomiting. अगर ये साइड इफेक्ट लंबे समय तक बने रहते हैं तो डॉक्टर को बताएं.

Before you start Valcito Tablet, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions. Take Valcito Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor to effectively control CMV retinitis and prevent the worsening of the infection.
Regular blood tests may be required to monitor your blood cell counts, as Valcito Tablet can cause low white blood cells (leukopenia) and low platelets (thrombocytopenia).
Inform your doctor if you experience unusual bleeding, persistent fever, vision changes, or severe fatigue, as these may indicate serious side effects.
Use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 90 days after stopping the medication, as Valcito Tablet may cause birth defects.
