Uses

Wosulin 40iu injection is used in the treatment of type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes.

How it works

Wosulin 40iu injection replaces the insulin that the body would normally make. Insulin is critical for promoting the use and storage of all the major nutrients : glucose, fats and proteins.

Expert advice for WOSULIN

  • Exercise caution as inadequate dosing or discontinuation of treatment may lead to increased blood sugar (hyperglycemia) and diabetic ketoacidosis (high concentrations of ketone bodies).
  • Do not inject insulin if your blood sugar levels were found to be low or you have symptoms of low blood pressure (hypoglycemia).
  • Consult your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases or any nerve damage due to diabetes or any diseases affecting the adrenal, pituitary or thyroid gland and if you are taking any other anti-diabetic mediation.
  • Exercise caution while taking Biphasic Insulin Aspart as omission of a meal or unplanned, strenuous physical exercise may lead to hypoglycemia (symptoms such as nervousness or anxiety, sweating, chills and clamminess, irritability or impatience, confusion, including delirium, rapid/fast heartbeat etc.).
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
  • Do not take if allergic to Biphasic Insulin Aspart or any of its ingredients.
  • Do not take if suffering with low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
