How to use Volflam D Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Taking it with food or milk helps to avoid stomach upset.

How Volflam D Tablet works

Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet is a combination of three pain relieving medicines: Ibuprofen, Paracetamol / Acetaminophen and Dextropropoxyphene. Ibuprofen and Paracetamol / Acetaminophen work by blocking the chemical messengers in brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Dextropropoxyphene works by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain, thereby further decreasing pain perception.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Taking Ibuprofen+Paracetamol / Acetaminophen+Dextropropoxyphene with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Even small doses of Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet can cause infant sleepiness and decreased/altered brain function.
Driving
It is not known whether Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney
CAUTION
Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Volflam D 400 mg/325 mg/32.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
