Product introduction

Vizcof-AX Oral Drops is a medicine used to treat a wet cough (cough with mucus) in children. It helps in thinning the mucus by increasing its water content. This relieves throat irritation and clears congestion, enabling easy breathing for the child.

Give Vizcof-AX Oral Drops to your child orally, with or without food. You may be required to give this medicine to your child for a few days to weeks, depending upon your child’s clinical condition and the severity of the illness. Do not discontinue the medication on your own, even if your child begins to feel better. Continue giving the medicine until the prescribed course is complete. Avoid exceeding the prescribed dose for quicker relief, as it may lead to unwanted effects and worsen your child’s condition. If your child vomits soon after taking Vizcof-AX Oral Drops, help the child calm down and repeat the same dose.

Common side effects of Vizcof-AX Oral Drops include headache, nausea, and diarrhea. If any of the side effects persist or worsen, consult your child's doctor immediately. Consult your child's doctor before using this medicine for an extended period. Check the medicine label thoroughly, and never combine this medicine with other cold and flu medicines, as that may lead to unwanted interactions unless your doctor suggests it.

Narrate your child’s complete medical history to the doctor, including any previous episode of respiratory illness, allergy, heart problems, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, sinus issues, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. How Vizcof-AX Oral Drops works

Vizcof-AX Oral Drops contains three active medicines. Each ingredient present in this medicine plays a pivotal role. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of the mucus and helps in its removal from the airways. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator that relaxes and widens the muscles in the airways. Together, they offer overall relief from the cough.

What if you forget to take Vizcof-AX Oral Drops?

Drink plenty of fluids to replace those lost from sweating and having a runny nose, get plenty of rest, eat healthily ? a low-fat, high-fibre diet is recommended, including plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. OTC drugs, gargling with salt water and sucking on menthol sweets can help relieve a sore throat and blocked nose, are generally safe for older children and adults to take, but might not be suitable for babies, young children. Avoid applying Vicks VapoRub to babies and toddlersPatient may need antibiotics and/or other prescription drugs. No, Vizcof-AX Oral Drops is advised for the treatment of wet cough. It aims to expel the mucus from the airway tract, thereby relieving your child from throat irritation and congestion and rendering him a soothing effect. Whereas, for a dry cough, cough suppressants are a better option. So, it will be wise to ask your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.

What if my child takes too much Vizcof-AX Oral Drops?

An overdose or prolonged intake of Vizcof-AX Oral Drops may cause serious side effects like seizures, rapid heart rate, and excess salivation. Give this medicine to your child exactly as prescribed in terms of dose, timing, and method. Do not stop the medication suddenly, even if your child starts feeling better, as abrupt withdrawal may worsen their condition.

My child has a severe cough. Can I give him two cough medicines together?
