How to use Tussiz P Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Tussiz P Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.

How Tussiz P Syrup works

Tussiz P Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Phenylpropanolamine, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide and Paracetamol/Acetaminophen which relieve common cold symptoms. Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Paracetamol/Acetaminophen is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer) which also blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever.

Tussiz P Syrup related warnings

Taking Phenylpropanolamine+Chlorpheniramine Maleate+Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide+Paracetamol/Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Tussiz P Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Tussiz P Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Tussiz P Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Tussiz P Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Tussiz P Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
