How to use Tramazide D Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tramazide D 75mg/50mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
This will help to avoid acidity and heartburn.

How Tramazide D Tablet works

Tramazide D 75mg/50mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Diclofenac and Tramadol, which relieves severe pain. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Tramadol is an opioid which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception.

Alcohol
CAUTION
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Tramazide D 75mg/50mg Tablet. Taking diclofenac with alcohol can increase your risk of stomach bleeding.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Tramazide D 75mg/50mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Tramazide D 75mg/50mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Consult a doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness (more than usual), difficulty breastfeeding, breathing problems, or limpness.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Tramazide D 75mg/50mg Tablet may cause side effects such as drowsiness and blurred vision. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Tramazide D 75mg/50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tramazide D 75mg/50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Tramazide D 75mg/50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tramazide D 75mg/50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Tramazide D is usually used for short term and can be discontinued when your pain is relieved. However, Tramazide D should be continued if you are advised by the doctor to do so.

Yes, the use of Tramazide D can cause constipation. Talk to your doctor about treating constipation if it persists for a long time.

Q. Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Tramazide D?

Tramazide D should be avoided in patients with known allergy to any of the components or excipients of this medicine. Tramazide D can cause problems when used with medicines that can cause sleepiness or MAO inhibitors (certain medicines that are used in the treatment of depression or Parkinson’s disease). Tramazide D should not be used in patients who are suffering from severe liver disease or epilepsy.

Q. Can the use of Tramazide D cause damage to kidneys?

Yes, long-term use of Tramazide D can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.

Q. Can the use of Tramazide D cause dry mouth?

Yes, the use of Tramazide D can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry.

Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
