Torbac 4.5gm Injection is a combination of two medicines: Piperacillin and Tazobactum. Piperacillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Tazobactum is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Piperacillin against bacteria.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
It is not known whether Torbac 4.5gm Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

u shouldn't take antibiotics without prescription, for simple cold n cough take syp corex-Dx 1 tsf tid, for cold DO STEAM INHALAION TWICE DAILY, WARM SALINE GARGLES, AVOID EXPOSURE TO COLD,TAKE REST tab levocet 1 tab bd for 5 days, take healthy diet to boost ur immunity comprising of proteins, vitamins particularly vit C, take plenty of fluids if not better in 3 days consult physician hope this helps, antibiotics are reserved only for bacterial infections , most cold like illnesses are viral so no need of antibiotics

Q. How should I use Torbac?
Torbac is injected into a vein through an intravenous route (IV). You may be shown how to use an IV at home. Use exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not self-inject this medicine, if you do not fully understand the instructions. Properly dispose of used needles and other items used to inject the medicine. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. It must be given slowly, and the IV infusion can take at least 30 minutes to complete.

If you overdose the Torbac you may suffer severe anxiety, feeling restless or nervous, or seizure (convulsions). Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any of these symptoms.
