How to use Tibs Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tibs 6 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Tibs Tablet works

Tibs 6 mg Tablet indirectly stimulates the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that can increase the motility of the intestine.

Expert advice for Tibs Tablet

• Take tegaserod on an empty stomach, shortly before your meal. 
• Discontinue tegaserod immediately if you experience symptoms of ischemic colitis such as rectal bleeding, bloody diarrhea, or new/worsened abdominal pain.
• Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe diarrhea, lightheadedness, dizziness, fainting, bloody stools, or new or increased stomach pain.
• Exercise caution if you are an elderly patient. 
• Do not drive vehicles or operate heavy machineries as tegaserod may cause dizziness.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Should not be given to patients allergic to tegaserod or any of its ingredients. 
• Should not be given to patients with history of bowel obstruction (blockage of small or large intestine), symptomatic gallbladder disease, sphincter of Oddi dysfunction (functional disorders leading to abdominal pain due to dysfunction of the Sphincter muscle) or abdominal adhesions (bands of fibrous scar tissue that form on organs in the abdomen.

Tibs 6 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
No information is available on the use of Tibs 6 mg Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Tibs 6 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Tibs 6 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tibs 6 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Tibs 6 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Tibs 6 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tibs 6 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Tibs 6 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

What if you miss a dose of Tibs Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Tibs 6 mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Start Tablet Stop Ibs( charak ) 2 tab twice for 21 days, along with above medicine, Avoid heavy , spicy and junk food.

If all that is normal, then you should go for stool test and if normal., this is Irritable bowel syndrome. Start a combination of Rabeprazole and Levosulpride. Also take Mebeverine for better help.
