Product Summary :

Thrombophob Ointment contains benzyl nicotinate (a vasodilator) and heparin (an anticoagulant). It is used to treat conditions such as thrombophlebitis, bruises, and superficial blood clots. It works by improving blood flow, reducing clot formation, and decreasing swelling and inflammation, which helps relieve pain and promote healing. Apply it to the affected area as directed and avoid using it on broken or infected skin. Common side effects include redness, irritation, and itching at the application site. Avoid using it in patients with bleeding disorders or a known allergy to heparin, and discontinue use if severe irritation occurs.

Product introduction

Thrombophob Ointment is a combination of two medicines used to treat superficial thrombophlebitis (inflammation or swelling of a vein due to a blood clot). It helps to relieve pain and inflammation by speeding up the healing process.

Thrombophob Ointment is also used to treat bruises and hematoma (a collection of blood under the skin). It speeds up the dissolution of the blood clot, decreasing the pain and swelling.

Use Thrombophob Ointment in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. This medicine is for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area before applying this medicine. Make sure to wash your hands before and after applying this medicine.

Thrombophob Ointment is generally safe to use with minimal or no side effects. However, slight irritation, burning sensation, or redness may be experienced after applying this medicine to the affected area. This is usually temporary and resolves on its own. Consult your doctor if it does not subside or persists for a longer duration.

Avoid contact of this medicine with broken skin. If you get it in your eyes, mouth, or broken skin, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using it to make sure it is safe for them.

How to use Thrombophob Ointment

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.

How Thrombophob Ointment works

Thrombophob Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Benzyl Nicotinate and Heparin. Benzyl Nicotinate is a vasodilator and Heparin is an anticoagulant. Frequently asked questions

Thrombophob Ointment is used to treat thrombophlebitis, a condition where a blood clot causes inflammation, swelling, and pain in a vein, usually near the skin. It may also help reduce localized swelling, bruising, or vein inflammation. When applied to the skin, the medicine penetrates the affected area to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and support healing by improving blood flow and reducing irritation in the vein.
Thrombophob Ointment is usually used for short-term treatment and can often be stopped once symptoms improve. However, if your doctor has advised you to continue using it for a specific duration, follow their instructions. Do not stop treatment earlier than recommended without consulting your doctor.
Thrombophob Ointment is meant for external use only. Do not apply it near the eyes, mouth, nose, or on cut, broken, or burned skin. Some people may develop increased sensitivity to sunlight while using it, so try to avoid direct sun exposure. If sun exposure is unavoidable, wear protective clothing and consider using sunscreen.
Keep Thrombophob Ointment in the container or package it came in and close it tightly after use. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the label, usually in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight. Dispose of unused medicine safely and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Thrombophob Ointment should be used only for the condition and duration advised by your doctor. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin over the affected area as directed. Do not apply it on broken skin or near the eyes. The number of times it should be applied depends on your doctor’s recommendation.
If you miss a dose of Thrombophob Ointment, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Do not apply extra amounts to make up for a missed dose.
Thrombophob Ointment is applied to the skin and is not affected by food or meal timing. Use it exactly as advised by your doctor and follow the recommended application instructions.
Alcohol does not usually affect Thrombophob Ointment as it is applied to the skin. However, excessive alcohol use may worsen overall health conditions and may increase certain side effects depending on the ingredients. If you feel unusual symptoms while using the medicine, consult your doctor.
Thrombophob Ointment may sometimes cause mild skin irritation, redness, itching, or burning at the application site. These effects are usually mild and temporary. Stop using the medicine and seek medical advice if you develop severe rash, swelling, breathing difficulty, or persistent skin irritation.
The time it takes for Thrombophob Ointment to show results can vary from person to person. Some people may notice improvement in swelling or pain within a few days, while others may require longer treatment. Continue using it as advised by your doctor and consult them if symptoms do not improve.
Stop using Thrombophob Ointment and contact your doctor if your symptoms worsen, if you develop severe skin irritation, rash, swelling, or allergic reactions, or if the treated area becomes more painful or inflamed.
Thrombophob Ointment is generally safe when used as directed by your doctor, but should be used with caution in people with bleeding disorders or those taking blood thinners. It should be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if advised by a healthcare professional. People with kidney, liver, heart, or blood pressure problems should also consult their doctor before using it. Always seek medical advice if unusual symptoms appear while using the medicine.
