How Tercuff Expectorant works
Tercuff Expectorant is a combination of four medicines: Terpin Hydrate, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Ammonium Chloride, Sodium Citrate. Terpin Hydrate and Ammonium Chloride work by decreasing the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and help in its removal from the airways. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an anti-allergic medication. When your body is exposed to an allergen (pollen, animal dander, house dust etc.), it produces a chemical called histamine. This causes watery eyes, runny or blocked nose, sneezing, skin rashes, itching, etc. Sodium citrate is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
