How to use Tedykoff Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Tedykoff Syrup is to be taken empty stomach.
It is advisable to take this medicine before food and at bedtime.

How Tedykoff Syrup works

Tedykoff Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Promethazine and Dextromethorphan which relieve dry cough. Promethazine is an antiallergic which helps reduce cough associated with allergies by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger, histamine. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant which relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.

Alcohol

Tedykoff Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Tedykoff Syrup is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Tedykoff Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
Tedykoff Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Tedykoff Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
UNSAFE
Tedykoff Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
