Swicain Liquid should be taken on an empty stomach in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. The exact dose will depend on your condition and response to treatment. Continue taking this medicine for as long as recommended, even if you start to feel better, as stopping too early may cause your symptoms to return or worsen.

Common side effects include a chalky taste, diarrhea, constipation, and mild allergic reactions. These effects are usually temporary and resolve on their own. This medicine may also cause dizziness, so avoid driving or performing tasks that require focus until you know how it affects you.

• Do not take antacid medicines within 30 minutes before or after taking Swicain Liquid.
• This medicine may cause constipation. Drink plenty of water and include high-fiber foods in your diet. Inform your doctor if constipation becomes severe or persistent.
• It may cause dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
• Speak to your doctor right away if you notice symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, nausea, or vomiting.
• It may take 4–6 weeks or longer for ulcers to heal completely. Do not stop taking the medicine without your doctor’s advice.
