Supinita Forte Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Gabapentin, Methylcobalamin and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B which helps in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells. Alpha Lipoic Acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid which has a protective effect on brain and nerve tissue. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).

- Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Supinita Forte Tablet, as it may cause excessive sleepiness.

Q. How to manage weight gain associated with the use of Supinita?
Supinita can make you feel hungry and it can be difficult to stop yourself from putting on weight. However, preventing weight gain is easier than losing increased weight. Try to eat a healthy balanced diet without increasing your portion size. Don't eat foods that contain a lot of calories, such as soft drinks, oily food, chips, cakes, biscuits, and sweets. If you feel hungry between meals, eat fruit, vegetables, and low-calorie foods. Regular exercise will also help to keep your weight stable. If you keep good eating habits and exercise regularly, you might not gain any weight.

Yes, Supinita may make you feel drowsy or you may suddenly fall asleep during your regular daily activities. Serious side effects with Supinita are uncommon and rare. However, it may cause serious side effects like an allergic reaction, suicidal thoughts or swelling of limbs (hands, legs or feet). Stop taking Supinita and contact your health care provider if you have any signs of these serious side effects. Signs of allergic reaction include swelling of your face, mouth, lips, gums, tongue and neck if you are having trouble in breathing, skin rash, hives (raised bumps) or blisters. Pay attention to any changes, especially sudden changes, in mood, behaviors, thoughts, or feelings which may be a symptom of suicidal thoughts.

An initial benefit with Supinita may be seen after 2 weeks of treatment. However, it may take around 2-3 months to see full benefit and even. It may take longer in some patients.

Contact your doctor immediately or visit the emergency at the nearest hospital, if you think that you or anyone else may have taken a very high dose of Supinita. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning. You may need urgent medical attention. Symptoms of an overdose may include drowsiness, weakness, unsteady when walking, having double visions, slurred speech or diarrhoea, confusion, blurred vision, dizziness, body temperature changes (low and high), difficulty in breathing and increased heartbeat.
