Product introduction

Sumogesic MR 4mg/50mg Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer duration than recommended by your doctor.


Some of the common side effects of this medicine include headache, dizziness, vertigo, nausea, and vomiting. If any of these side effects bother you or do not go away with time, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects.

How Sumogesic MR Tablet works

Sumogesic MR 4mg/50mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Thiocolchicoside and Diclofenac, which relieves muscle pain. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and improve movement of muscles. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

The use of Sumogesic MR 4mg/50mg Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer/ bleeding. Its use should also be avoided in a patient with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.
