Softdiclo Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Diclofenac and Rabeprazole which relieve pain. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain, fever and inflammation (redness and swelling). Rabeprazole is a proton-pump inhibitor which prevents damage to the stomach lining caused by Diclofenac.
Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition.
