Sodium Lactate 5% Infusion

Sodium Lactate 5% Infusion must be administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional. You should not take it, if you have any known allergy from this injection. Your doctor may check your blood pressure and ask you to get regular blood tests done while you are using this injection.

The most common side effects include injection site reactions such as pain and redness. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or suffering from kidney or liver diseases.

• You have been prescribed Sodium Lactate 5% Infusion for the treatment of short-term fluid replacement after trauma.
   
• Seek immediate medical attention in case of fluid overloading resulting in electrolyte imbalances, overhydration, congested states, pulmonary edema or acid-base imbalance.
• Exercise caution if you are at risk of alkalosis (an excessively alkaline condition of the body fluids or tissues, which may cause weakness or cramp), severe kidney impairment, hypervolemia (fluid overload), overhydration, or conditions that may cause sodium retention or edema.
• Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
• Do not take if you are allergic to sodium lactate or any of its ingredients.
