Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which reduces mucus production and gives relief from stuffiness in the nose to make breathing easier.
