Shelcal K Tablet is a supplement that provides extra calcium to the body. It is beneficial in increasing muscle mass, osteoporosis and in the prevention and treatment of hypocalcemia. It also helps in reducing fatigue and muscular pains. It boosts immunity and helps you maintain healthy bones. It is generally safe with little or no side effects. However, if you experience any symptoms on taking this medicine, let your doctor know.

This medicine is to be taken in the dosage as advised by the doctor. Consult your doctor if you plan to take any other form of vitamin D along with this medicine Do not take any other form of vitamin D along with this medicine without consultation with your doctor. Fractures may be painful and restrict a person’s ability to carry out their normal daily tasks. Shelcal K Tablet helps in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis. This medicine helps in the growth and development of bones as well as maintain strong bones. Since osteoporosis doesn’t usually have any symptoms such as pain (until a fracture occurs) you might not ‘feel’ any immediate benefit from your treatment with Shelcal K Tablet. Keep taking it until your doctor asks you to stop. Along with medicines, eat a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D like dairy products, green leafy vegetables etc.

Shelcal K Tablet is a nutritional supplement that is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who do not get enough calcium from their diets. How Shelcal Tablet works

Shelcal K Tablet is a combination of Calcitriol, Calcium Carbonate, and Vitamin K2-7. Calcitriol is the active form of Vitamin D. It raises Vitamin D levels in your blood. This in turn raises calcium levels in your blood by helping you absorb more calcium from your intestine. Calcium carbonate is a dietary supplement used when the amount of calcium taken in the diet is not enough. Vitamin K2-7 plays a central role in the metabolism of calcium, the main mineral found in your bones and teeth. Vitamin K2-7 activates the calcium-binding actions of two proteins : matrix GLA protein and osteocalcin, which help to build and maintain bone health.

You will need close monitoring while taking Shelcal K Tablet if you have kidney problems or are on dialysis. Calcitriol (active vitamin D) in this medicine can raise phosphorus levels, so doctors may add phosphate binders (medicines that trap phosphorus) and perform regular blood tests to keep levels safe.
Shelcal K Tablet has not been proven safe or effective in children. Older adults (seniors) often start at the lower dose range because they may have weaker kidneys, liver, or heart, and they may take several other medicines.
