Sez Forte 1gm Tablet

Overview

Introduction

Sez Forte 1gm Tablet is an antibiotic medicine that helps your body fight infections caused by bacteria and parasites. It is used to treat infections of the liver, stomach, intestines, vagina, brain, heart, lungs, and skin.

Sez Forte 1gm Tablet is also used in the treatment of dental infections, leg ulcers and pressure sores. This medicine may be taken with or without food. However, it should be taken at the same time each day to get the most benefit. The amount you are advised will depend on what you are being treated for and how bad it is, but you should take this antibiotic exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your symptoms may get better after a short time but do not stop taking it until you have finished a full course of treatment, even if you feel well. If you stop taking it early, some bacteria may survive, and the infection may come back. Do not drink any alcohol while taking this medicine and for some days after stopping it. Otherwise, you may get unpleasant side effects like nausea, vomiting and stomach pain.

The most common side effects of this medicine are headache, vomiting, nausea, and vomiting. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days. You can try using sugarless candies or lozenges to overcome any dryness or metallic taste in the mouth.

Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any medicine or have any kidney or liver problems or any disease of the nervous system. Your doctor may change the dose or prescribe a different medicine. This medicine should not be taken if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless it is absolutely necessary and prescribed by your doctor.

How to cope with side effects?

The occurrence of side effects varies from person to person. The following are a few ways of dealing with some of the common side effects. However, consult your doctor if these persist.

  • Coping with Headache
Make sure you rest and drink plenty of fluids. Rest in a quiet, dimly lit room. Do not sleep more than you normally would. Do not strain your eyes (for example by looking at a screen). Do not drink alcohol. Headaches are usually temporary and usually go away with time. But, if they last longer or get worse, ask your doctor to recommend a painkiller.
  • Coping with Nausea
You can help yourself by eating small, frequent meals rather than large ones and drinking plenty of fluids. Eat slowly. Avoid fatty, fried, spicy and very sweet foods. Eat cold or slightly warm food if the smell of cooked or cooking food makes you feel sick. Get plenty of fresh air. You could also try chewing ginger or drinking ginger tea. Eat bananas to replace potassium in your blood which can drop if you are sick (vomit). Use oral rehydration salts to replace vitamins and minerals lost through being sick. There are some medicines that can help you stop from feeling sick. Speak to your doctor if your condition does not improve.
  • Coping with Vomiting
You can help yourself by eating small, frequent meals rather than large ones and drinking plenty of fluids. Eat slowly. Avoid fatty, fried, spicy and very sweet foods. Eat cold or slightly warm food if the smell of cooked or cooking food makes you feel sick. Get plenty of fresh air. You could also try chewing ginger or drinking ginger tea. There are some medicines that can help you stop feeling sick. Speak to your doctor if your condition does not improve.
  • Coping with Abdominal pain
In most cases, this is mild enough to be treated at home. Try to rest and relax. Putting a heat pad or covered hot water bottle on your stomach may also help. Having a warm bath or shower can help you relax and relieve the pain. Drink plenty of clear fluids such as water and reduce your intake of coffee, tea, lemon juice or soda. Avoid alcohol and smoking as these can aggravate the pain. Eating slowly and having smaller and more frequent meals can also help. If the pain is severe, speak to your doctor. They may be able to guide you better.
  • Coping with Diarrhea
Keep up your intake of fluids and electrolytes (sugars and salts) to avoid getting dehydrated. Eat less fiber (avoid raw fruits, fruit juice and vegetables). Talk to your doctor about possible medication to manage diarrhea. Ask about reducing the dosage of your drug or other suitable treatments.
  • Coping with Vaginal itching
There are many creams, ointments or tablets that may help depending on the type and cause of irritation. Speak to your doctor about these. At home, you can take various steps to ease the condition. Use warm water and a gentle cleanser. Avoid scented soaps, lotions and toilet paper. Avoid vaginal sprays. Change out of wet clothing straight after swimming or exercising. Wear cotton underwear and change it every day. Do not scratch as it can make your condition worse.
