Product introduction

Samiact LP 10mg/325mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effects are dryness in mouth, headache, fatigue, and allergic reaction. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.

Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before you start taking this medicine it is important to inform your doctor if you are suffering from liver or kidney disease.

Samiact LP 10mg/325mg Tablet is safe and effective. It usually starts to work within a few minutes, and the effects can last up to several hours. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, and do not stop using it unless you are advised otherwise.

How Samiact LP Tablet works

Samiact LP 10mg/325mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and Paracetamol which relieve common cold symptoms. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever.

Quick tips

  • Samiact LP 10mg/325mg Tablet is prescribed to get relief from symptoms of common cold.
  • Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended.
  • Call your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within seven days of treatment.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for cold.
  • Along with taking Samiact LP 10mg/325mg Tablet do the following simple tips at home to get relief:
    1. a) Steam inhalation.
    2. b) Gargling with warm saltwater.
    3. c) Apply vapor rubs on chest, back if needed. Take enough rest.
    4. d) Take warm food and fluid only. Ensure adequate fluid intake.
    5. e) Advise hygiene measures to reduce spread: frequent hand-washing, avoiding sharing towels, pillowcases, etc.

Larger doses or more prolonged use of Samiact LP 10mg/325mg Tablet may cause drowsiness and other effects in the baby or decrease the milk supply
